Many cyclists attended on their way to work. They were supplied with either coffee or tea and their choice of a bacon buttie, banana or homemade flapjack. “I’m also very keen to remind people of the help they can receive in purchasing a new bike through their employer by taking up the opportunity of the Cycle to Work scheme. Anyone who is interested in the scheme should ask their employer whether they’re already a member of the scheme.” Ends. Emma, who cycled her bike to the event, is also promoting the Cycle to Work scheme, where employers can sign up to provide bikes for their employees through a salary sacrifice scheme, which offers significant savings on the purchase price of a new bike.
