In the history of the programs, the Gophers have only faced Boston College once, and that game happened to come in the 2018 challenge. It was announced on Oct. 30 as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge with the time and broadcast information to still be released. Head coach Richard Pitino is in his eighth year with the Gophers and holds a 4-3 record going into this season in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Gophers have an all-time 10-11 in the challenge since it first began in 1999.
