This is a full-time faculty position carrying a 4-4teaching load with a start date of August 2021. Teaching andservice responsibilities are carried out annually acrossnine-months, while salary is paid over 12 months. The searchcommittee is especially interested in candidates who, through theirresearch, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to thediversity and excellence of our academic community.Responsibilities include teaching courses primarily for theundergraduate general education philosophy curriculum, with someopportunity for teaching upper divisional philosophy courses.Ability to develop and teach freshman writing-focused seminars inphilosophy, philosophy honors courses and/or interdisciplinarycourses desirable, especially those with an ethics focus. Thesuccessful candidate is expected to be committed to high qualityclassroom teaching, carry out an ongoing research agenda andprovide service to the department and University.Applicants will be asked to upload as a part of their application acover letter, CV, writing sample, teaching portfolio (statement ofteaching philosophy, evaluations, sample syllabi and other relevantinstructional materials), and unofficial transcript (highest degreeearned).
