first_img 232 Views   no discussions An area of low pressure in the eastern Atlantic could become Tropical Storm Danny in a day or two, according to the National Hurricane Center.Showers and thunderstorms associated with the system have become better organized as it moves west-northwestward in the east Atlantic, several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands.Forecasters say conditions are favorable for development and a tropical depression is likely to form, a 70 percent chance, within the next day or two.Forecasters give it an 80 percent chance of development over the next 5 days. first_img GET THE BEST OF THE JAPAN TIMES Japan came back from two sets down to beat Poland for its second win in the preliminary round of the men’s volleyball World League on Sunday.Yu Koshikawa and Takahiro Yamamoto led Japan’s rally in the third set and Koshikawa’s three consecutive service points proved the key in the final set as the host snapped its losing streak against the Poles at 14 games with a 29-31, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-11 win. The result at Ariake Colosseum improved Japan’s record in Group D to 2-4 while Poland, runnerup in the 2006 world championships, dropped to 3-3.
